    You Want The Truth?

This goes out to the Marine-bashing libtards in the most messed-up, backward, bleeding-heart, anti-Bush, anti-war, anti-everything, effed-in-the-head town in America: Berkeley, California!

    You can't handle the truth!

Son, we live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me on that wall.

We use words like honor, code, loyalty... we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use 'em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to!

    THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS is what I want to scream from the mountaintops anytime I hear some liberal bitching about the so-called "loss of civil liberties," or waterboarding, or domestic surveillance. If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about!!!!!!!

    Hoo boy
The McCain bashers are out in DROVES today. And mostly from the right side of the spectrum.

Give it up, Bible-thumpers. Teh homos and teh baby-killers are here to stay. It's the 21st Century. Or would you rather we get rid of womens' suffrage, civil rights, and the Emancipation Proclamation as well?

Trust me, in a race between John McCain and Bat Fuck Insane, take the war hero every time. He suffered for this country. He might have died for this country. He'll at least extend an olive branch to the extreme right, even temporarily, which is more than you'll get from the other side. Considering the uphill battle we all face going into November, take what you can get.

Best State Of The Union Ever.
I defy any lunatic Democrat to find even one WORD tonight that was inaccurate, incorrect, or untruthful. An inspiring message all around.

How can you NOT like this man? Brilliant speech, well-delivered, and a good, optimistic set of promises for the future.

Do your part. Support this President. Shame on you who don't.

No surprise: Air America Radio FAILS in San Diego
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Liberals fail again: San Diego's "Progressive 1360" Air America changing formats due to low ratings....

... to become a sports talk station...

... San Diego's THIRD different sports talk station on the AM dial....

... and extreme leftist fishwrap "The San Diego Reader" has the scoop.

I love it. Looks like Bush-bashing doesn't pay the bills, eh hippies?

Clear Channel is awesome. I'd prefer it if they went back to the old "Sinatra, swing, and standards" format that USED to be on AM 1360, and I sure hope they don't give Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton his own obnoxious show, but anything is better than UnfAir America, ScAir America, Have-A-Little-Cheese-With-That-Whine Radio.

The Democratic Thought Process (an oxymoron) during a time of crisis
One of my former students claims that San Diego is only getting federal disaster relief funds because it's a heavily Republican area.

So she's suggesting that either (1) Republicans would not care about fire victims if they happened to live in a blue county, or (2) a Democrat in office WOULD not and/or SHOULD not offer relief to San Diego fire victims because of their party affiliation.

So nice to know the Democrats are so concerned about the safety of the American people. Remember, Republicans are evil warmongers who don't care about disaster victims, and Democrats are a model of ethics and a beacon of virtue, right?

My mayor is a Republican. My governor is a Republican. My President is a Republican. We're in good hands. The response to the firestorm has been exceptional, and I am fully confident that we will get through this with flying colors.

    UPDATE
I'm fine, my city is not.

The map above is my own illustration of what's happened so far. The RED shaded areas indicate locations that seem to have burned already. It's not exact, but based on the news reports I'm hearing (and I've been glued to the news lately), it should be fairly accurate. YELLOW outlined areas are evacuated areas, either voluntary or mandatory. The big GREEN dot in the middle indicates my location..... while still far from the fires, I do live in a canyon with lots of dry dead brush. One spark is all it takes.

I spent much of the day at a relief center in La Mesa, making peanut butter sandwiches, bagging sandwiches, and taking in donated items. Pictures later, maybe, if I feel like it.

    Mandatory evacuations in Julian now.

I'm fine, thank you, but I am worried about some other friends. Rumors are going around that the only fatality in San Diego County so far was actually a Kiwanis member.

    Is it because they're black?
Why do the libtards care so much about saving Darfur and Rwanda, but not about saving Fallujah, Mosul, Tikrit, Basra, Baghdad, Islamabad, Kabul, Arak, Tehran, or even Pyongyang?

I play the race card only in jest, but I suspect the real reason is obvious: helping the Sudanese means they can do something about the human rights violations in the world WITHOUT doing anything to endorse President Bush's foreign policy. Yes, millions of people are dying in suffering in other war-torn countries, but until President Bush calls out the Sudan as an Axis nation, the libs will fall over themselves to aid only those in Africa. And they can't even get that right.

They hold concerts, record albums, and film movies all about the plight of Africans, yet you show them one picture of an Iraqi woman voting and they go apeshit.

Seems like the only good liberal is an IRAQI liberal:
